Stanford University has created a publicly available database of over 100,000 top-scientists that provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator. Scientists are classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields. Career-long data are updated to end-of-2023 and single recent year data pertain to citations received during calendar year 2023. The selection is based on the top 100,000 by c-score (with and without self-citations) or a percentile rank of 2% or above in the sub-field. This version (7) is based on the August 1, 2024 snapshot from Scopus, updated to end of citation year 2023.

August 2024 data-update for “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators”

The released list contains top 2% scientists, however, Prof. Rafiee was ranked among the world top 1% scientists and highly cited researchers in the discipline of Materials in that list. Moreover, Prof. Rafiee was included in both single-year and career-long lists.

Prof. Rafiee has been selected as the outstanding researcher in the 1st research and technology festival of college of interdisciplinary science and technologies in University of Tehran in the last days of 2023.
He was appreciated because of his industrial research activities as well as being recognized as an international highly cited researchers due to his publications.

COMRESLAB has been selected as the distinguished research laboratory in the 31st Research Festival at University of Tehran in 2022. The Research Festival of University of Tehran holds every year, and outstanding activities in University of Tehran are nominated and appreciated. In the 31st Research Festival held at the end of 2022, COMRESLAB has been nominated and chosen as the outstanding research laboratory among all other laboratories because of its educational, research and industrial activities. Prof. Rafiee said: “This great achievement couldn’t be accomplished without the invaluable efforts of my colleagues, and I do need to appreciate their commitments and hard works during the past 10 years.”

The MSc thesis of Mr. Faramarz ABBASI on “Experimental and Theoretical Investigations of Fatigue in Composite Rings” has been selected as the national distinguished MSc thesis in structural analysis minor by Iranian Aerospace Society in 2021. COMRESLAB wishes Faramarz the bests and sequential achievements in his future carrier.

Prof. Rafiee has been promoted to the level of Full Professor from Dec. 2020 with unanimous approval of all evaluating committee members. This promotion occurred after five years of his activities as an associate professor in University of Tehran.

Stanford University, United States (US) has recently released a list of Top 2% Scientists of the world. The scientists have been selected in the world on the basis of different standardized citations indicators including information on number of citations, H-index, co-authorship and a composite indicator. The results have been published in one of the reputed journals PLOS biology on 16th of October 2020  and  have been classified into 22 scientific fields.

The released list contain top 2% scientists, however, Dr. Rafiee was ranked among the world TOP 1% SCIENTISTS and highly cited researchers in the discipline of Materials in that list.

The MSc thesis of Mr. Mohammad Reza HABIBAGAHI on “Investigation of Delamination in Cylindrical Composite Structures Subjected to Transverse Loading” has been selected as the national distinguished MSc thesis in structural analysis minor by Iranian Aerospace Society in 2018. COMRESLAB wishes Mohammad Reza the bests and sequential achievements in his future carrier.

At the closing ceremony of the 17th International Conference of the Iranian Aerospace Society held in 2017, the PhD thesis of Dr. Mahdi SHAYANMEHR on “Investigating the vibration behavior of laminated composite beams reinforced with nano-particles” was selected as national distinguished PhD thesis in structural analysis minor. The thesis was co-supervised by Dr. Omidi, Dr. Shokrollahi and Dr. Rafiee. COMRESLAB congratulates this achievement to Dr. Shayanmehr.

Dr. Rafiee has been selected by Elsevier as the Outstanding Reviewer in 2016, 2017 and 2018 for following journals:

5-Thin-walled Structures
6- Wind Engineering & Industrial Aerodynamics
Those reviewers who are in the top 10th percentile in terms of the number of reviews completed within two years for that journal, are awarded Outstanding Reviewer status. The above mentioned journals are all indexed by WOS and categorized under Q1.
