Stanford University, United States (US) has recently released a list of Top 2% Scientists of the world. The scientists have been selected in the world on the basis of different standardized citations indicators including information on number of citations, H-index, co-authorship and a composite indicator. The results have been published in one of the reputed journals PLOS biology on 16th of October 2020  and  have been classified into 22 scientific fields.

The released list contains top 2% scientists, however, Dr. Rafiee was ranked among the world top 1% scientists and highly cited researchers in the discipline of Materials in that list.
